Kevin Scully Geer (November 7, 1952 – January 25, 2017)[1] was an American actor of stage and screen.

Kevin Geer's father died when he was an infant. He moved from Reno, Nevada, to Los Angeles with his mother, Claire Scully Geer. After graduating from a military academy in southern California, he moved to New York to become an actor, beginning his career in 1975,[2] his best noted stage performances included A Streetcar Named Desire (1988), The Rose Tattoo (1995), Flyovers, Side Man (both 1998) and Twelve Angry Men (2004).[3]

His television appearances included Oz, Law & Order, Homicide, China Beach, M*A*S*H and MacGyver. He also appeared in the films A Force of One (1979), The Pelican Brief (1993), The Contender (2000), American Gangster (2007)

Actor Kevin Geer was widely known for his presence on the silver screen. He also was featured in the miniseries "Roughnecks" (1979-1980). He had an early role on the television special "Steeltown" (CBS, 1978-79). He also appeared in the TV movie "Friendly Fire" (ABC, 1978-79). Geer worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "M*A*S*H" (CBS, 1972-1983). In the nineties and the early 2000s, he acted in the Julia Roberts hit action movie "The Pelican Brief" (1993), "4am - Open All Night" (1999) and "The Contender" (2000). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-). Geer also appeared in "The Tavern" (2000), "Garmento" (2003) and the Denzel Washington smash hit crime drama "American Gangster" (2007). He also appeared in the comedic action flick "The Men Who Stare at Goats" (2009) with George Clooney. Most recently, Geer acted in the Jennifer Connelly romance "Shelter" (2015).
