Darren Brand is a North Carolina A&T alum who has become successful through his passion for comedy. Born and raised in Southern Pines, N.C. the small town could not contain his big personality. From working with the BET network to over 80 episodes on the Nick Cannon show, Wild 'N Out, he’s made a lane for himself as a comedian. He credits God for his natural ability to light up any room in addition to the success that has come with it. Known by his stage name “Big Baby,” the comedian has been working in the world of comedy since his emergence in 2008. He and his friends created a comedy club that would eventually catapult him to fame. Freestyle Funny included Brand himself, Chico Bean (Anthony Bean), BDaht (Brian McLaughlin), and Osama Bin Drankin (Gerard Rankin). Darren Brand, affectionately known as 'Big Baby', is a decorated comedian, actor, and all around entertainer with roots stemming deep in the Carolinas. Born in Southern Pines, Brand ventured 80 miles north of his hometown to attend North Carolina A&T State University where he quickly established himself as the âfunny man on campusâ. His career in stand-up began during college when he co-founded the Freestyle Funny Comedy Show (FFCS), a nationally recognized live improv tour, with his comedic comrades: Anthony Bean (Chico Bean), Brian McLaughlin (BDaht) and DeMar Rankin, Sr. (OsamaBinDrankin).

Big Baby continues to create a household name for himself by spreading laughter and joy to fans across the country and throughout the globe. After graduating from A&T, Brand went on to pursue his dreams of bringing his talents to the television screen. A series of successful auditions and callbacks led Brand to his calling; landing a coveted position on MTVâs hit series âWildâN Outâ for over six seasons.
