The Board of Directors of Central Romana Corporation, Ltd. has appointed Mr. José Fanjul Jr. as President of Central Romana, while Mr. Alfonso Fanjul and Mr. José “Pepe” Fanjul will continue to serve jointly as Co-Chairmen of the Board and Co-CEOs of the company.
With the appointment of José Fanjul Jr. as President of Central Romana, Mr. Eduardo Martínez-Lima Gonzalvo and Mr. Leonardo Matos García have also been named Executive Vice Presidents, joining Mr. Ramón Menéndez to lead the company’s executive operations.
“These appointments ensure the renewal and strengthening of Central Romana’s corporate structure, securing its continued business presence and projecting future economic investments that will promote its growth and benefit the community,” the company stated in a press release.
In addition to his new duties, José Fanjul Jr. has also been reaffirmed in his position as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Central Romana Corporation, Ltd.

The Fanjul family —Cuban born brothers Alfonso "Alfy" Fanjul Jr., José "Pepe" Fanjul, Alexander Fanjul, and Andres Fanjul—are owners of Fanjul Corp., a vast sugar and real estate conglomerate.
