The album won five Grammy Awards in 2003. She released her second album, Feels Like Home in 2004, which sold over a million copies in its first week of its release. Norah Jones (NOR-ə; born Geethali Norah Jones Shankar; March 30, 1979)[2] is an American singer-songwriter and musician. She has won several awards for her music and, as of 2023, had sold more than 53 million records worldwide.[3]Billboard named her the top jazz artist of the 2000s decade. She has won ten Grammy Awards[4] and was ranked 60th on Billboard magazine's artists of the '00s decade chart.[5]

In 2002, Jones launched her solo music career with the release of Come Away with Me, which was a fusion of jazz with country, blues, folk and pop. Early life and family

As the daughter of legendary sitar master Ravi Shankar, Norah can presumably also thank her musical pedigree. I cannot take any credit for the music that she has excelled in," he said. "Her base is western, jazz and country music."
