Clinton Eastwood Jr. (born May 31, 1930) is an American actor and film director. After achieving success in the Western TV series Rawhide, Eastwood rose to international fame with his role as the "Man with No Name" in Sergio Leone's Dollars Trilogy of spaghetti Westerns during the mid-1960s and as antihero cop Harry Callahan in the five Dirty Harry films throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Clinton Charles Augustus Ritchie was born to J.C. Ritchie and Charlotte Ritchie on a farm in Grafton, North Dakota on August 9, 1938. “My father worked on farms around Grafton,” Clint recalled. “One of the guys he worked for was A.B. Thompson, who was a big potato farmer.” When he was seven years old, when the family moved to Washington, Clint already knew that he wanted to be an actor. He was voted “Handsome Harry” by his fellow students at Sunnyside High School in Washington State.
